I am a student living in an apartment and decided to get a table top dishwasher. If there’s one thing I hate doing in the evening, its washing up after I have cooked dinner. My boyfriend comes over almost every night and I cook dinner for the two of us and I really wanted a dishwasher so that we didn’t have to wash dishes when we could be relaxing and watching TV.
I was thinking about getting a slimline dishwasher but I really didn’t even have the space for this in my apartment. It would have meant having to take out some cupboards and I don’t think my landlord would have been too agreeable. So I heard about table top dishwashers and decided to look into these.
I have to say I really was sceptical about how a table top dishwasher would have enough room for my dishes. But I was really surprised by how much space they actually have inside them. There is always enough room for most of the dirty dishes besides the odd pot (which my boyfriend will kindly take care of).
I bought the Haier because HDT18PA because it seemed like a good deal. It was a good price and it looked to have plenty of room for my needs. It looks good and is compact enough not to look out of place on my kitchen worktop. But I have learned that it is better to make sure you run the water until it gets hot before you attach it to the dishwasher as this ensures the dishes are really cleaned properly.
I really think if you don’t expect anything amazing from this dishwasher then you will be pleasantly surprised. Remember it is a much smaller unit than a regular dishwasher so do not expect the same kind of results. However it is perfect if like me, you live in an apartment or small house with space restrictions.
